@BastianK via phillipreeve.net, just posted an extensive review on the new TTARTISAN 90mm f/1.25 M-mount. Conclusion: A 90mm f/1.25 with its 72mm entrance pupil is situated on the edge of what can be realised for M-mount, therefore I was expecting some optical compromises and indeed there are: flare resistance leaves something to be desired as does the performance near the minimum focus. . We have no association with any manufacturer apart. When stopped down, this lens' 9-blade aperture produces beautiful 18-point stars from point light sources. Like its sibling 40 f/1.4 Art, this lens has a very interesting lens-element-dense design. Though not perfect, with mostly aberrations showing in the image circle periphery, the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens is a very optically. Firmware Update - Conclusion. After the firmware update the Batis 2/40 still stops down automatically but only to f/2.8 and only from a distance of 0.65m. AF is now reliable at distances above 0.65m or with the aperture closed to at least 2.8. AF is still unreliable when the 2/40 is used wide open at closer distances which is a typical.

Since it's an E-mount lens, it's also fully compatible with APS -C NEX cameras Sharpness is all over the place with this lens, at 70mm with a wide open aperture it will get soft randomly and seems to suffer some focus issues (again, this could be due to abuse). At 300mm f5.6 it is always soft, you'll want to close down that aperture to compensate Stopping the 100-400 DN down to F5.6 makes little difference, and there is only a mild difference at F8. The Sigma is the least sharp at 100mm of the three, but not by a wide margin. It is competitive there. At 200mm the Canon continues with a mild edge everywhere but midframe, where the Sigma is about equal

It's extremely sharp, particularly between about f/2 and f/4, and is rarely off my camera The Sigma 24mm f3.5 DG DN is a compact prime lens designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras and, at the time of testing, available in Sony e and Leica L-mounts. The $499 Ultron 40mm f2 SL II Aspherical is a standard focal length prime from legendary Viennese manufacturer Voigtlander. Despite its tiny proportions it promises to deliver excellent image quality scores in our industry standard lab tests. With the lab data in, recorded and verified our in-depth review analyses the results Although I don't have an RX100 to try.. after checking the dimensions online I think it would be a really really tight fit. Shift lenses cover a larger image circle than necessary for 35mm (fullframe) format. With the Shift function you are moving your camera in this bigger image circle and by doing so the horizontal line can be moved from the center of the image to the desired position. Shift Up. No Shift. Shift Down Stopped down a little to f/1.8, the Sony FE 85mm F1.4 quickly matches the two F1.8s, but by f/5.6 the two F1.8 models just pull ahead—at least in the center; the Sony FE 85mm F1.8 surpasses even the Batis in the outer zones and corners. Given the price of the Sony FE 85mm F1.8, this shows just how good a performer it is .2/85 Aspherical usually sells for around $600 used at ebay.com (affiliate link). Benefiting from a 1-stop-wider aperture, the 28-70 has about 1/2 as much peripheral shading as the 24-70 at f/2.8 (and less in the 24mm f/2.8 vs. 24mm f/2 comparison). The 28-70 has slightly more barrel distortion at the wide end and less pincushion.
